Tinea manuum
RINGWORM infection most often caused by Tinea rubrum, usually found together with a foot infection. The condition is characterized by thickened outer skin of palms and fingers, especially in the creases of the skin.
Treatment. New topical imidazole anti-fungals are the treatment of choice, but topical agents alone don't usually cure this problem; an oral antifungal drug (such as griseofulvin, terbinafine, or ketoconazole) is usually required for between two to three months.
