Vaginal infections
Any infection of the vagina caused by bacteria or yeast. Together with a physical exam and history, lab tests are needed to examine vaginal fluid microscopically. Some vaginal infections cause VAGINITIS, an inflammation of the vagina that may include discharge, irritation, and itching.
Some of the most common vaginal infections are bacterial VAGINITIS, TRICHOMONIASIS, and VAGINAL YEAST INFECTION.
